BEER232 is a considerably modified variant of Beer IDE 202 board design, developped by b3rendsh in 2024 to support 2x32K ROMs, selectable with a jumper.
Originally BEER IDE supported only 16K ROM. He has also modified MSXDOS 2.20 to be fitted to 32K ROM alongside the BEER disk driver, so that the cartridge wouldn't need a ROM mapper. Some bugfixes had also been made to the BEER disk driver itself, the version number changed to 2.03. Thanks to the switchable ROMs, the system can be started in DOS1/DOS2 mode, or different versions of BEER firmware for example.
